Our goal is to make church a safe and nurturing environment where children are accepted and loved.
The Children’s Ministry at Fairview Baptist Church covers the entire scope of a child’s life from birth to fifth grade. We offer KIDZ LIFE Groups, Choir and Missions classes. We want to guide children to a knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is, to lead them toward a relationship with God and to learn how to live for Jesus in their everyday lives outside of church. We also provide a Mother’s Day Out program through our Child Development Center (C.D.C.) for children age 15 months to 4 years. This allows mothers to have some time away on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year and gives us an opportunity for our church to minister to
children and families in our community.

Preschool Birth - Kindergarten
It is a privilege and a joy to serve families and to teach preschoolers, from birth through Kindergarten, about the love of Jesus Christ.
Fairview Baptist Church strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment where your preschooler will be loved.
We will encourage a love for God’s Word and a desire to relate to God through the Bible, prayer, and praise. We will teach preschoolers that sharing God’s love with others is important. We will view each preschooler, and help them view themselves, as a special and unique creation of God loved unconditionally by Him.
We will strive to ensure sound Biblical teaching through Godly role models as teachers. We will train children to work well with others by being obedient and demonstrating gentleness, kindness, and self-control. We will provide enjoyable activities that give preschoolers opportunities for developing friendships with other preschoolers and adults. Fairview Baptist Church offers Extended Session during worship services for preschoolers from birth through 3 years of age.
Three’s and under will remain in Extended Session for the church year.

GA’s Girls in Action® (GA®) is a WMU® missions organization for girls who are in grades 1-5. GA’s can help girls begin to develop spiritually towards a missions lifestyle as they learn what God is doing in the world and discover their place in God’s plan.
- KIDZ LIFE Groups- 9:00 a.m. KIDZ LIFE Groups guide children toward a relationship with God through solid Bible teaching and application activities of each lesson.
- MISSION ORGANIZATIONS: RA’s AND GA’s Allow children to see the need to share their relationship with Jesus with other people through missions education and partcipation. RA’s and GA’s meet on Wednesday night from 6:10 p.m.-6:50 p.m. during the school year.

Child Development Center
The Mother’s Day Out Program
is designed and initiated by our church to provide a safe and happy place for children to go while mothers have some time away. It is an opportunity for our church to minister to children and families in our community.
The Child Development Center exists to assist parents in their important responsibility of molding and guiding their children as they grow and develop. The Center joins with parents to provide foundational teaching on which later development is built. We believe that children are a precious gift from God, and entrusted to us to love and teach.
We recognize that children learn and develop faster during these first years than at any other time during the life span. It is our goal to make these first experiences at learning safe, fun, and happy times. We strive to develop the whole child by providing opportunities for them to develop mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Our curriculum is the Southern Baptist Wee Learn Curriculum. The curriculum introduces the children to different unit studies with learning through play. We provide these opportunities throughout the day with:

CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
self-expression is encouraged through the use of paints, play dough, crayons, manual tools, and other materials.
LANGUAGE AND MATH EXPERIENCES
through the use of stories, conversations, games, and puzzles, your child will grow in knowledge and understanding of basic concepts.
RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCES
Bible thoughts, concepts, and Bible related activities will be interwoven throughout the day in natural settings that will be meaningful to your child on his or her level of understanding.
Classes: Fairview Baptist Church offers classes for children 1 year old by September 1st through 4 year olds. Our classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Classes begin in August and end in May. We do not operate during the summer months.
