Our Staff Family
Dr. Breck Ladd
Our Pastor was born in 1971 and grew up the youngest of five children in Monticello, Mississippi. His family were not church goers. However, through some friends, he began attending Monticello Baptist Church in high school. Through hearing the Word taught and experiencing the love of Christ in the local church, Breck accepted Christ as a seventeen-year-old. As he grew in his walk as a student at Mississippi State, Breck discerned His call to full-time ministry.
Brother Breck has been the Senior Pastor at Fairview since August 2012 and seeks to serve for the glory of God and the good of others as a shepherd and equipper of God’s people. His ministry emphasizes building healthy families that stand out in the community (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), sharing truth and wisdom across generational lines for the sake of mutual maturity (Titus 2:1-6), and seeking opportunities for the church to “declare the Lord’s glory among the nations” (Psalm 96:3). Our Pastor believes that the church should fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) by living out the Great Commandments (Matthew 22:36-40).
Before coming to Fairview, Breck served as the Senior Pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and as Executive Pastor of Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. He has also served churches in Poplarville, Brookhaven, and Gulfport, Mississippi.
Breck earned a Bachelors of Science from Mississippi State University in 1996. He completed his Masters of Divinity Degree in Biblical Languages in 2000 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2011, Breck completed the Doctor of Ministry at New Orleans as well.
