Ministry Serve Teams

 Matthew 28:18-20

With the declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic, we are in uncharted territory as a nation, a state, a community, and a church.  As we navigate the next few weeks, Fairview is seeking to find ways to help those severely impacted by the restrictions that are in place.  We are forming  volunteer teams to serve our in-needs members and those that are in the community.

Encouragement

We are not able to visit hospitals and nursing homes as we normally would.  The Encouragement Team will provide things such as care packages, where permissible, texts, emails, handwritten cards, and phone calls to those who find themselves alone because of the restrictions in place.

Grocery/Medicine Pick-Up

With this virus becoming more and more widespread in our country, Health Care professionals will have an increased work load.  This team will provide care packages for these in our county.  This team will be made up primarily of those available to drive and pick up/deliver items such as fruit baskets, vegetable trays, and snacks the church will provide.

Nursing Homes

We will be collecting items for area nursing homes. As you go, please be mindful of these needs and drop them off in the marked container at the church office entrance.

  • Dish Soap
  • Bar Soap
  • Lady & Men’s Deodorant
  • Clarifying Shampoo
  • Body wash
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Toothpaste
  • Aersol Hairspray

Community Pantry

To provide food assistance to those in our community, please consider donating any of these items:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Crackers
  • Shelf Stable Meals
  • Fruit Cups
  • Individual Bag of Chips
  • Cookies or Little Debbies
  • Variety Pack Crackers
  • Poptarts
  • Granola/Breakfast bars
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Ramen Noodles

There will be a drop off location at the church office entrance.

We are constantly working with medical professionals on how to accept and distribute supplies. We update and clean our drop off stations and have instructions for safe donations.

Prayer Warriors

Please share your prayer requests with “New Day to Pray.”  This would be an incredible time to join “New Day to Pray.”  Call the church office with these request or email dcrawley@fvbchurch.org.

Support Local Blood Drives

As more opportunities arise through our church or through other organizations, we will update the church through this page and the church’s social media accounts.  Complete form below to sign up for a team.
